Air Power is a 50-year-old industrial distributor specialized in providing process solutions and equipment to manufacturers. Our specialties are paint finishing systems, sealant and adhesive application, fluid handling, advanced assembly solutions, industrial air tools, material handling, pneumatic motion components, automation and robotics. Our Corporate office resides within High Point, North Carolina with 6 Supporting Locations in the Eastern US.
The account representative will manage, maintain, and grow a geographic based sales territory located in East Texas, Oklahoma, and Arkansas. He/She will work remotely, but report out of our Dallas/Ft. Worth, TX Office and warehouse. The preferred candidate will reside within the denoted sales territory. The salesperson will set appointments and visit manufacturing facilities to uncover customer needs and then specify, demonstrate, sell and possibly start-up the proper solution and/or equipment.
Good planning and organizational skills, good communication and interpersonal skills, demonstrate-able mechanical aptitude, and good computer skills are required to ensure success. Recent college graduates with degrees in engineering, industrial distribution, or business that have a strong mechanical aptitude and desiring sales careers, may be considered.
Primary Responsibility:
To grow the region in which assigned. This will include maintenance of existing accounts, as well as, cultivating and
expanding Air Power’s coverage into new accounts within the geographic territory. This will be accomplished by
introducing Air Power and setting up new accounts as necessary for the growth of the territory. Including, but not
limited to the below:
· Responsible for leading sales demonstrations and support activities carried out within the assigned
coverage area and strategic accounts
· Promote and participate in a culture within Air Power that is characterized by accountability, transparency,
collaboration, process improvement, and performance.
· Ensure all activities are focused on supporting the strategic business plan, providing superior value to your
customer base.
· Provide constructive feedback to the Regional Manager for the purpose of continuous improvement and
profitable growth within the coverage area.
· Pursue and participate in necessary training and development opportunities for continuous improvement of
sales.
· Foster cooperative and productive working relationships with all Air Power Product Specialists by supporting
and assisting customers in securing business in all core competencies.
· Perform continuous assessment of our product and service offering within the sales area, recommending
changes as necessary for improvement.
· Actively maintain positive and cooperative relationships with our key supplier partners within the sales area.
