Air Products and Chemicals, Inc. (NYSE:APD), a Fortune 500 manufacturer of industrial gases, has an immediate opportunity for a Senior BI Administrator. This role will ideally be hybrid based at our global headquarters in Allentown, PA or remote.
As a Senior BI Administrator, you will be hands-on building, supporting and maintaining a variety of BI tools. Participate in new solution architectures and completing proof of concepts to stay up to date on the latest trends. You will be modernizing our reporting environment, increasing adoption of tools and collaborating with a team of analyst, developers, enterprise architects to bring about a productive and efficient work environment by ensuring tool stability and availability. You will guide junior team members where necessary, assist in establishing standard processes, and driving quality.

- Support and provisioning of infrastructure for various BI applications such as QlikView, Qlik Sense, HANA, SAC/Datasphere, SAP BW/BPC, BODS (Data Services), SSRS, SLT, SDI, Alation, SAP Information Steward, etc.
- Fill the administrator role for the above applications, including provisioning servers, documenting best practices, managing security, performing software upgrades, executing test plans, and processing approvals of requests.
- Partner with other internal teams such as security, enterprise architecture, SAP Basis, server team, DBA’s and responsible business owners.
- Establish security and data protection settings
- Develop and maintain well-functioning applications
- IT Product owner for tools – own plans and roadmap, gap assessment, update LeanIX product details and usage
- Participate in product evaluations, RFP’s, proof of concepts for new tool selection
- Working closely with the various global development teams for these tools in supporting / assisting them with any questions or troubleshooting, in various time zones
- Vendor Management – Define process for submitting incidents, monitor incident resolution and participate in vendor reviews, server experience to pull off logs, etc.
- Handle third-level support and troubleshooting
- Review and approve ServiceNow Change and Release records, Azure DevOps push/pull requests, etc.
- Minimum 8 – 10 years of experience
- Bachelor's degree in IT
- Excellent organization, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Effective communication and collaboration skills
- Prior developer with BI architecture and operations experience
- Experience with Windows servers; experience with Linux servers is a plus
- Familiarity with SAP BW/4 HANA is a plus
- Experience with IAC / Azure Dev Ops for provisioning is a plus
