The quality engineer at AQE is charged with leading AQE in implementing a quality management system (QMS). This position will ensure AQE has up to date quality related approvals that allow us to sell products both domestically and internationally. They will also manage and execute other quality functions within AQE operations. The overall goal is that AQE establish a base line quality system that can be improved in the future and to provide our customers, both internal and external, with products that meet and exceed their expectations. The quality engineer will help AQE to continue to be viewed as the industry’s trusted source for the highest quality air filtration equipment.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for ensuring the quality management system achieves consistency and continuous improvement of products, in addition to meeting customer satisfaction standards.
- Responsible for implementing ISO9001 with design control. The basic structure is in place, but training needs to take place. We now need to self-audit and confirm compliance with our policies and procedures.
- Once ISO9001 is implemented, ensure ISO standards are met.
- Analyze quality data to determine statistical trends and develop necessary control actions as part of comprehensive Continuous Improvement process.
- Develop Work Instructions and / or Document Processes to ensure standardization of work across departments.
- Identify raw, in-process and final inspection needs based on customer requirements to ensure specifications are being met.
- Responsible for scheduling, directing, conducting internal audits and preparing audit reports for top management that address non-conforming items from previous quality audits.
- Provide quality reporting data and analysis for review by upper management.
- Responsible for MRB process, including any Corrective Action Process, deviation management and coordinating RGA’s
- Customer warranty claim processing, and identification of quality improvements.
- Provides process improvement know-how, methods, and conceptual expertise to various departments.
- Final inspection of key products.
- Overseeing product certification process and testing including CE, ETL, CARB, CSA, CE, and UKCA
- Responsible for equipment calibration process
