Description
5 years of Low Voltage Electrical and 5 years of Building Automation experience. As a BMS HVAC technician, you will be installing building automation systems, fabricating, and commissioning panels, as well as servicing them. Daily tasks include reading blueprints, reading wiring diagrams, installing conduit, pulling cable, building, and terminating control panels, installing, and wiring sensors, actuators, and controllers related to HVAC and Building Automation. The successful candidate shall become an integral part of our expanding team. Training will be provided to qualified candidates on the use of controls software and servicing tools as needed.
Qualifications
Requirements:
- 4-5 years of experience preferred.
- Expertise in low voltage cable and light duty line voltage.
- Experience installing light EMT.
- Understanding of Analog and digital inputs and outputs.
- Understanding of HVAC and BMS system Sequence of Operation.
- Ability to read and understand IO point lists and flow diagrams.
- Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose networks and control circuits.
- A working knowledge of current NEC.
- Read and understand blueprints.
- Read and understand wiring diagrams.
- Use an electrical meter, hand tools, and power tools.
- Work alone and with other employees.
- Install with a high quality in workmanship.
- Self-starter, punctual, professional, and works well independently.
- Experience with LON, BACnet, or Modbus protocols.
- Experience in building panels.
- Willing to work overtime as needed.
- Work in metropolitan area including Long Island.
