Description:
This lead professional is responsible for ensuring uninterrupted workflow, have the ability and expertise to stand in for the project manager during absence from site if requested, can comprehend overall project schedule with regards to requirements of other disciplines or subcontractors’ requirements, and will also have the responsibility for safety and quality requirements on site.
Candidate will be responsible for ensuring that the daily project execution is in line with the Labor Union Agreements; will be responsible for understanding all Local Union agreements for the project along with establishing a working relationship with the Local Union Business Agent.
This position includes sales and the soliciting of new business for additional commission-based income.
This person will also provide in house estimates to the Project Management Team and will attend job walks as requested.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Seeks out and solicits new customer projects for the Piping Division.
- Assists the Project Manager in ensuring complete adherence by all site supervision and craft to the Job Site Safety, Quality, Performance Management in accordance with Air-Tec Standards. Is responsible for reporting inappropriate conduct by any site personnel to the site Construction manager and the project Safety manager.
- Monitors, verifies, and reports on piping activities for projects to the project manager and owner. Assures on-time completion of project.
- Assists piping labor force in resolving problems and reports on issues related to drawings and information, schedule, quality, quantity tracking, cost reporting, and safety.
- Monitors discipline construction productivity, progress, and cost, and reports to Project Manager. Takes necessary actions to maintain targets.
- Ensures competent and practical adherence to the Air-Tec standards.
- Recruits and interviews for hiring needs to maintain necessary labor force.
- Tracks all tools for trucks and for specific jobsite.
- Develops corrective plan to ensure progress and productivity targets are met.
- Verifies that all material, manpower and other resources needed are onsite.
- Develops, monitors, and reports on completion of piping punch list activities.
- Maintains a daily log for site records.
- Reviews all piping timesheets and labor reports prior to owner review.
- Monitors piping installations and verifies with scope and schedule requirements.
- Develops a stable working relationship with project managers and piping leads.
- Identifies potential back charges and out of scope issues and reports to Project Manager.
- Provides supervision, training, development, and performance reviews for Piping Staff.
- Adheres to safety and quality standards as applicable to duties and accountabilities.
- Supports continuous improvement efforts and the change management effects associated with the implementation of improvements.

Pay: $125,000.00 - $165,000.00 per year
