As an Assembler (Soldering) at AirBorn Inc., you will be responsible for assembling electronic components into complete systems using soldering techniques. Your expertise in surface mount, thru-hole, and hand-soldering will ensure the production of high-quality products.
Main Responsibilities:
- Perform various types of soldering operations.
- Consult production schedules to prepare work areas and equipment.
- Gather components needed to meet production deadlines.
- Set up equipment and assemble components.
- Complete projects by smoothing rough edges of products.
- Document production totals and any errors.
- Clean work areas and equipment.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
- Three to twelve months related experience or training; and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Able to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
- Ability to write simple correspondence.
- Able to add and subtract two-digit numbers and multiply and divide with 10's and 100's.
- Apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions.
- Deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.
- Operate a variety of simple equipment tools.
- Perform minor adjustments to tools and equipment.
- Read and follow instructions from work instructions, work order travelers, and drawings with minimal supervision.
- Perform self-inspection of assemblies.
- Read and interpret AirBorn part numbers.
