About This Role
This position involves the accurate storage, inventory, and issuance of goods in the stockroom. It requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and effective communication.
Main Responsibilities:
- Count and record stock levels regularly
- Pack and weigh small items for delivery
- Organize articles in designated areas
- Label products as needed
- Supply production personnel with materials, tracking usage
- Follow warehouse instruction protocols
- Access pre-packed stock inventories as needed
- Provide replacement components for urgent needs
- Compare manual counts to electronic records
- Address discrepancies promptly
- Maintain accurate inventory records electronically and in print
- Ensure efficient stockroom operations and compliance with regulations
- Transfer items within the warehouse
Requirements for Success:
- General education degree (GED) or high school diploma
- 3-24 months of relevant experience or training; or equivalent combination
- Experience with CRTs and scales may be beneficial
- Ability to read basic instructions
- Arithmetic skills for measuring quantities
- Following precise written or spoken directions
Working Conditions:
This role demands occasional physical exertion, such as standing, walking, and lifting items up to 10 pounds, and sometimes up to 50 pounds, for short periods. Regular breaks can mitigate these demands.
