Key Responsibilities and Requirements
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Production Supervisor to lead our team. In this role, you will:
• Supervise and coordinate activities of production workers, maintaining shop floor control methods and analyzing data to guide improvement with Team Leaders
• Communicate and administer company policies and procedures, providing feedback to HR when needed
• Establish or adjust work procedures to meet production schedules, working to improve Kanban and recommending measures to enhance production methods, equipment performance, and product quality
• Suggest changes in working conditions and equipment usage to increase shop efficiency
• Analyze and resolve work problems, or assist workers in solving them
• Conduct performance appraisals, handle disciplinary and morale issues, and work with HR on pay matters
• Maintain time and production records, and coordinate training and development for Team Leaders and Members
To succeed in this role, you will need:
• A four-year Bachelor's degree from a college or vocational school
• Two to ten years of related experience or training
• Ability to read and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations
• Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers
• Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume
• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
Work Environment and Physical Demands
The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works near moving mechanical parts. The employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles and risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud, and travel is limited to less than 5%.
