What are the responsibilities and job description for the AMES AC COMPOSITE LEAD position at Airborne Maintenance and Engineer Serv?
This position will Assist management by Provide leadership and technical support to assigned composite personnel, helping ensure all composite repairs are being performed safely and within budget while verifying applicable references and regulations are utilized to meet quality, safety and operational efficiency based on the priority of departure dates. This position will also support management by conducting daily in-process audits and shop audits. Also, the role will involve evaluating fixed price and time-and-material non-routines and assisting with the bumps, i.e., adjustment of time and material non-routines when needed. It will also provide additional oversight for multiple composite technicians performing multiple repairs across various customer aircraft, ensuring tasks are completed in priority order within approved hours, while maintaining compliance with quality standards, safety, material, and equipment requirements. To ensure the overall longevity of components being repaired for multiple customers across multiple aircraft during heavy maintenance checks and AOG situations.
Perform aircraft composite maintenance, repair, and/or
modification on customer aircraft in accordance with applicable
technical data, customer maintenance program requirements,
within estimated or budgeted hours and within FAA and customer
standards of quality. replacing malfunctioning or damaged structural components-
Read and interpret blueprints, Structural Repair Manuals,
Illustrated Parts Catalogs, service bulletins, and engineering
orders to determine feasibility and method of repairing or
Responsible for completing and attaching parts tags to removed repairable, serviceable, or condemned parts IAW with customer and/or repair station guidelines -
Document all maintenance actions In a timely and accurate
manner in accordance with Airborne, customer, and FAA
guidelines -
and/or repair station guidelines
Responsible for completing and attaching parts tags to removed

- Use and safely operate all required powered and non-powered ground support equipment, sheet metal shear and shop equipment
REQUIREMENTS:
- High School Diploma or GED
- 5 years aviation Maintenace composite experience
- 2 years of experience in a leadership role
- Airframe license
