What are the responsibilities and job description for the General Manager (Adventure Park) position at Airborne X Adventure Park?
The General Manager role is critical to the trampoline park's success. It includes performing a variety of duties, including opening and closing responsibilities, cash management, customer service, sales, and coaching the team to achieve target goals.
The General Manager will work directly with guests, providing courteous, friendly, and professional assistance while enforcing Airborne’s safety regulations. He/she will also help train staff and will act as the first line supervisor.
Also, the General Manager is tasked with ensuring the park is a safe and fun environment by conducting park walks to support the team, interacting with guests, & observing and fixing any problems with courts and system operations.
Responsibilities:
- Provide a positive guest experience through operations and customer service; respond to guest concerns in a prompt, courteous manner
- Provide the team with a welcoming and mutually supportive work environment
- Plan and develop a profitable operation through proper cost analysis and inventory control
- Ability to maximize sales opportunities and achieve personal sales goals; drive membership participation & café sales
- Facilitate sales through proactive planning and execution of marketing programs
- Cash management including POS and group sales, deposits, and cash reports
- Coordinate birthday parties and special events; serve as point of contact for community outreach initiatives
- Conduct regular maintenance checks to promote a safe and clean work environment by identifying and eliminating or reducing potential hazards
- Manage payroll; schedule Flight Crew members to meet business needs and labor efficiency goals
- Serve as Manager on Duty; open and close the park; train all staff in roles and responsibilities
- Establish and maintain a positive presence in the local community
- Manage facility operations to maintain standards, manage staff, and provide excellent customer service
Qualifications:
- Three (3) years of management experience in retail or one (1) year of management experience in related industry (trampoline or entertainment)
- Some college preferred
- Customer service experience
- Experience with employee scheduling and cash handling
- Available on weekends and holidays
- CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Proficient in all Microsoft Office programs
- Outgoing, energetic and friendly personality
- Capable of standing for extended periods of time and performing physical tasks as needed
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively while speaking in public
- Ability to calmly handle stressful and challenging situations
- Hardworking and responsible; assertive and self-confident
- Perform routine inspections and update maintenance log
