Job Description

Airbus Commercial Aircraft is looking for a Payroll Manager to join our team, working in a remote/hybrid environment. The ideal candidate will be relatively close in proximity to one of our sites: Herndon, VA (Headquarters); Atlanta, GA; Dallas, TX; Miami, FL; or Mobile, AL.

You will be part of a team which ensures payroll is processed properly, on-time, in compliance, and implementing and configuring “Dayforce.”

Your Challenges

  • Manage and ensure multi-payroll are processed and funded timely
  • Team Leadership and Development
  • Vendor Management
  • Manage the reporting of personnel cost with Finance
  • Manage Expat Compensation Contracts
  • Other duties as assigned:
    • Facilitate audits in providing records and documentation to auditors
    • Serve as the primary company facilitator for audits of the 401K Plans, SERP, DCP, Federal & State Taxes & Unemployment Insurance
    • Develop and maintain expert level of knowledge on standard payroll practices, procedures, systems and terminology
    • Generate and/or prepare ad-hoc reports to support Finance Department and other departments and projects
Your Boarding Pass

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Master's degree in business or related field preferred
  • Chartered Institute of Management Accounting (CMA) preferred

Required Experience

  • 10 years experience in payroll including management of a team
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Dayforce (formerly Ceridian) Global HCM Software (3 years preferred)
  • Proficient in Workday payroll functionality.
  • Payroll implementation experience
  • Implementation of FLSA
  • Vendor management
  • M&A experience preferred

Required Licensure/Certifications

  • Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) or similar professional designation
  • Certified Dayforce Advisor

Physical Requirements

  • Onsite 60%, Remote 40%
  • Vision: Daily able to see and read computer screens and other electronic equipment with screens, able to read documents, reports and engineering drawings.
  • Hearing: Daily able to participate in conversations in person and via teleconference or phone and to hear sounds on the production floor including safety warnings or alarms.
  • Speaking: Daily able to speak in conversations and meetings, deliver information and participate in communications.
  • Equipment Operation (personal computer, telephone, copies, fax machine, and related office equipment and using electronic identification card to enter building floors and internal doors): Daily able to operate most office and personal electronic equipment and some tools including production tools such as hydraulic lifts.
  • Carrying: Rarely able to carry documents, tools, drawings, electronic equipment up to 30lbs/14kgs.
  • Lifting: Rarely able to lift documents, tools, drawings, electronic equipment up to 30lbs/14kgs.
  • Pushing / Pulling: Rarely able to push and pull small office furniture and some equipment and tools.
  • Sitting: Daily able to sit for long periods of time in meetings, working on the computer.
  • Squatting / Kneeling: Rarely able to squat or kneel to retrieve or replace items stored on low shelving.
  • Standing: Daily able to stand for discussions in offices or on the production floor.
  • Walking (include routine walking such as to a shared printer to retrieve documents): Daily able to walk through office and production areas including uneven surfaces.
  • Appropriate hearing/eye protection may also be required when visiting the shop floor
