Airbus Commercial Aircraft is looking for a Project Manager for OneSource Software to join our Finance department based in Herndon, VA.
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager for a 3-month contract to lead the implementation of Thomson Reuters OneSource software, integrated with SAP ERP. The ideal candidate will have expertise in managing software implementations in the customs and export compliance domain, coupled with strong experience in SAP system integration. This role requires a hands-on leader who can effectively manage multiple stakeholders and deliver a seamless, on-time implementation.

Your Challenges:
Primary Responsibilities:
- Project Management: Lead and manage the end-to-end implementation of OneSource software integrated with SAP ERP, ensuring timely delivery and quality outcomes.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with internal teams (compliance, IT, Finance, Customs) and external vendors to define project objectives, scope, and deliverables.
- Planning & Execution: Develop an accelerated project plan, defining clear milestones, dependencies, and resource allocation. Track progress and address risks proactively.
- Process Analysis: Evaluate current customs and export processes, ensuring OneSource configuration and SAP integration meet compliance and operational needs.
- Vendor Coordination: Act as the primary liaison with Thomson Reuters (OneSource vendor) and any implementation partners, ensuring timely support and issue resolution.
- SAP Integration: Oversee the integration of OneSource with SAP ERP, ensuring data accuracy and seamless system communication for customs and export functionalities.
- Compliance Assurance: Ensure the implemented solution adheres to global customs regulations and export compliance standards, tariff management, and screening protocols.
- Training & Change Management: Facilitate end-user training sessions, creating a smooth transition and adoption process for the new system.
- Progress Reporting: Provide detailed project updates, including status, risk mitigation plans, and key performance metrics, to stakeholders and senior leadership.

Your Boarding Pass:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, IT, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- PMP certification is a highly preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of experience managing software implementation projects.
- Experience with Thomson Reuters OneSource and SAP ERP integration.
- Strong background in customs and export compliance projects.
- Eligible for employment in US.
- Excellent project management skills, including planning, risk management, and problem-solving.
- Proficiency in project management tools such as Microsoft Project, JIRA, or similar.
- Strong understanding of SAP ERP, including key modules for trade compliance and export management.
- In-depth knowledge of customs regulations, trade compliance processes, and export documentation.
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience managing Vendor relationships for software implementations.
- Written and verbal fluency in English, required.
- Additional Languages appreciated (German, Spanish and French etc.)
Physical Requirements:
- Onsite 60%
- Vision: able to see and read computer screens and other electronic equipment with screens, able to read documents, reports and engineering drawings.
- Hearing: able to hear to participate in conversations in person and via teleconference or phone and to hear sounds on production floor including safety warnings or alarms
- Speaking: able to speak in conversations and meetings, deliver information and participate in communications.Equipment Operation (personal computer, telephone, copies, fax machine, and related office equipment and using electronic identification card to enter building floors and internal doors):
- Sitting: able to sit for long periods of time in meetings, working on the computer.
- Squatting / Kneeling: able to squat or kneel to retrieve or replace items stored on low shelving.
- Standing: able to stand for discussions in offices or on the production floor.
- Travel: able to travel independently and at short notice.
- Walking (include routine walking such as to a shared printer to retrieve documents): able to walk through office and production areas including uneven surfaces.
Ability to work in the US without current, or future, need of visa sponsorship/work authorization is required for this position.
This position is a temporary (contract) position for a 3 month period but could be extended as needed. Contractors are employed by a 3rd party vendor and placed on assignment to Airbus in America.
