We are seeking a skilled and reliable General Facility Maintenance/Cleaning/Assisting with Installations, Repairs and Fleet Maintenance to join our team. This role requires a proactive individual who can work independently and has a strong attention to detail. The Handy Man will be responsible for ensuring that all facilities are well-maintained and functional, contributing to a safe and pleasant environment.
Responsibilities
- Perform general maintenance and repairs on buildings, fixtures, and equipment.
- Conduct routine inspections of premises and equipment to identify issues.
- Troubleshoot and resolve problems related to plumbing, electrical systems, and HVAC.
- Utilize tools such as an ohmmeter for electrical testing and diagnostics.
- Assist with the installation of appliances, fixtures, and other equipment as needed.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests from staff or tenants.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards.
Skills
- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot various issues.
- Knowledge of basic electrical, plumbing, and carpentry work.
- Familiarity with using an ohmmeter for electrical testing is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with team members and clients.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
