What are the responsibilities and job description for the Mechanical Assembler-Power Distribution position at Airline Hydraulics?
The Mechanical Assembler position requires the assembly of power distribution equipment including prefabbed sheet metal, busbars, and electronic components using the tooling provided. Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. Works under general supervision. Primary job functions do not typically require exercising independent judgment. Reports to Assembly lead.Responsibilities : Assembles major structures and subassemblies. Entails mechanical tasks using necessary tools and equipment to complete the assembly project. Including but not limited to hand tools, power tools, torque drivers, and inspection tools.Verify accuracy and quality in accordance with established control procedures. Drive a forklift and operate overhead cranes. Training will be provided.Load / unload trucks.Assist with packaging finished goods as needed. Perform other tasks as needed, to complete an assembly project.Requirements : 1-3 years of relevant experience preferred.Mechanical aptitude and precise attention to detail are required.Must observe all safety rules and regulations.Good interpersonal skills and ability to successfully handle a multi-tasked role in an organized fashion.Basic computer skills. Capable of working with all Microsoft Office and custom applications used for assembly. Strong time management and organization skills. Must be able to work independently and successfully complete multiple assignments in a deadline-driven environment.May need to move to other departments as demand shifts. Cross-training will be provided. Must be able to take tasks from Team Lead as directed. Must be able to work off, read, and interpret mechanical drawings and basic schematics.
