Airoom, Chicagoland’s premier design/build company, is seeking an experienced residential construction architectural reviewer with 10 years of residential construction experience in custom single family residential projects, including high end remodeling and renovations. The position requires the ability to keep up with a fast paced, energetic environment with attention to detail. Strong diplomacy skills and significant customer relation experience a must.
Job Overview
- Construction experience in custom single family residential projects, including high end remodeling and renovations.
- In depth residential product knowledge with construction materials including windows & doors, siding and roofing materials, trims and moldings, lighting, floorings materials, HVAC equipment, cabinetry, and engineered framing materials.
- Architectural experience as it relates to residential single family and remodeling projects.
- Candidate must be capable of reading residential design-build production drawings and manage multiple resources and disciplines.
- Capable of understanding wood and framing layouts and structural details.
- Comfortable with lighting and electrical layouts, general routing plumbing and HVAC on plans and understanding of building codes.
- Field experience preferred with an understanding of residential framing, mechanical and construction detailing.
- Ability to tactfully interact with clients reviewing their construction plans, design and construction issues and red lining plans for changes and offering upgrades to products and designs.
- Ability to communicate via hand sketching.
- Strong communication skills within a team.
- Detail minded and well organized.
- Strong Microsoft application skill set. CAD or other drafting application experience is a plus.
- Ability to manage many residential project teams simultaneously from design inception to issuance of final construction documents.
- Ability to intelligently interact with purchasing staff, vendors, superintendents, and field crews to clarify and/or review and explain site issues.
- Comfortable spending up to 75% of the week meeting with current clients to finalize design-build project plans and details.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in residential construction.
- Field construction management experience building from your own designs and drawings.
- Architectural degree is required.
- Experience with MS Office products, Word, Excel and Outlook a must.
- Experienced in managing client expectations.
Salary : $135,000 - $165,000
