Airosmith Engineering is seeking a full-time Director of Electrical Engineering to join their Engineering team. This position plans and directs all aspects of electrical engineering activities and projects within the organization. Ensures all electrical engineering projects, initiatives, and processes are in conformance with organization's established policies and objectives. Utilizes best practice engineering methods and provides expert technical guidance for engineering initiatives. Incorporates components, materials, and tools that result in cost-effective and quality output. Manages overall electrical engineering budget and costs. Creates and/or implements functional strategies and specific objectives for the department and implements budgets, policies, and procedures to support the functional infrastructure. Deep knowledge of the managed content and solid knowledge of the overall divisional function.

Responsibilities, include (but are not limited to):

  • Complete line design and underground planning.
  • Lead overall transmission line design for all projects.
  • Interconnection design for Renewable development projects such as Solar, EV Charging, Battery Storage.
  • New conductor sizing and reconductoring design.
  • Plan and carry out engineering services necessary to complete each project’s scope of work.
  • Meet client deadlines with all project deliverables.
  • Work directly with clients for all customer service needs and support.
  • Manage project costs.
  • Develop ideas for new engineering services, company efficiencies, and process improvement.
  • Monitor and report on project statuses to the sales team and management on a regular basis.
  • Support internal project reviews for all project types prior to submitting customer deliverables.

Requirements:

  • Min. 10 yrs. Electrical Engineer design exp.
  • Electrical transmission/distribution systems, utilities, communications, and renewable project exp.
  • Must have good technical writing skills.
  • Valid drivers' license.

Certifications and Licenses:

  • Professional Engineering (P.E.) license required.

Education:

  • B.S. in Electrical Engineering required.

Salary Range, based on experience, skill, education, certificates and licenses:

  • $100,000 - $120,000 per year.
