We are seeking an experienced payroll and HR centric employee to join our growing organization. In this position, you will record and process weekly payroll, in a timely and accurate fashion. You will help to review and coordinate employee files and records and assist management in HR responsibilities.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage daily payroll department operations, including collecting and verifying timekeeping information and processing payroll for 400 employees weekly.
- Maintain accurate payroll records including required payroll garnishment.
- Work with the payroll processing company, to develop and compile summary data of earnings, state and federal taxes, deductions, PTO, disability, etc.
- Audit timesheets accurately to ensure wages and benefits are properly distributed.
- Research, analyze, and resolve all discrepancies, reporting to management as needed.
- Follow appropriate state and federal taxation of employer paid benefits and report on regular payroll data audits.
- Maintain employee confidentiality and protect payroll operations by keeping all privileged information confidential.
- Manage changes in job status, job titles, and exemptions.
- Answer questions from staff about wages, attendance, time records, and deductions.
- Coordinate requests for leave and other absences.
Requirements and Qualifications:
· High school diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor’s' degree preferred.
· 3 or more years' experience working in payroll, and/or Human Resources environment.
· Considerable experience working in multi-state payroll is a plus.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Word, and Excel
· Preferred skills to include ADP payroll software and Document Management systems knowledge.
· Solid working knowledge of payroll tax code
· Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
· Aptitude for numbers and exceptional commitment to accuracy
· Team-player with excellent interpersonal skills.

· Attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $28.00 - $32.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
