Qualifications :
- Achieved, at a minimum, a Bachelor's Degree
- Hold a valid Michigan Teaching Certificate with endorsements in these area(s) of teaching :
- Social Science (CX); OR
- Social Studies (RX) with experience in high school Sociology
- Evidence of good interpersonal skills with colleagues
- Willingness to learn, acquire, and apply new skills and knowledge
- Evidence of adaptability and problem-solving skills
Essential Functions and Duties
Ability to Plan and Prepare Instructional TasksUtilize a variety of assessment toolsAdminister, record and track data of student assessment with the counselor and building administratorMaintain records of student progress, growth and developmentParticipate in child study meetings when necessaryRegularly report student progress, concerns, changes to the building principalMaintain accurate attendance records as directedPlan instructional tasks that are meaningful and related to learning goals2. Provide Instruction to Students
Implement district curriculumMaintain a strong instructional focus utilizing the elements of effective instructionCommunicate a high level of expectation to studentsCommunicate clear learning goals to studentsAdapt instruction to meet the needs of all studentsInteract positively with student groupsIntegrate thinking processes into real-life applicationsAddress various learning styles ?
