Essential Job Duties:
- Conduct Physical Inventory and Cycle Counts:
- Perform regular physical inventory counts to ensure accuracy in stock levels.
- Conduct cycle counts on a scheduled basis to maintain inventory accuracy and identify discrepancies.
- Identify and Resolve Inventory Discrepancies:
- Utilize inventory control systems and reports to identify discrepancies in stock levels, pricing, or product descriptions.
- Investigate root causes of discrepancies and work with relevant teams to resolve issues promptly.
- Implement corrective actions to prevent future discrepancies and improve inventory accuracy.
- Maintain Business Relationships:
- Communicate effectively with suppliers, vendors, and internal departments to maintain smooth operations and resolve inventory-related issues.
- Collaborate with purchasing and logistics teams to ensure timely and accurate delivery of products.
- Audit Inbound and Outbound Deliveries:
- Conduct audits on inbound and outbound deliveries to verify quantities, quality, and condition of products.
- Document audit findings and report any discrepancies to management for resolution.
- Prepare Reports on Performance Measures:
- Compile data and prepare reports on key performance indicators (KPIs) such as inventory turnover, stock accuracy, and order fulfillment rates.
- Analyze performance metrics to identify trends, areas for improvement, and opportunities to optimize inventory management processes.
- Ensure a Safe Working Environment:
- Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines when handling, storing, and transporting inventory.
- Collaborate with safety officers and relevant stakeholders to implement safety measures and procedures.
- Support Internal Departments:
- Assist internal departments, such as sales, customer service, and warehouse operations, by processing inventory-related requests and providing timely information.
- Respond to inquiries from team members regarding inventory status, availability, and stock replenishment.
- Perform Other Duties as Assigned:
- Flexibility to take on additional responsibilities or tasks as needed to support the overall goals and objectives of the organization.
- Participate in special projects or initiatives related to inventory management, process improvements, or system upgrades.
Requirements:
- High School diploma or GED required
- Experience in logistics or related field for 2 or more years
- Must satisfactorily pass a drug test
Skills Required:
- English language competence with strong oral, reading and writing skills
- Strong time management and organization skills
- Proficiency in operating a computer, including knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel and Microsoft PowerPoint
- Competent in administrative tasks, such as data entry, processing paperwork, email, phone inquiries
- Must be analytical and possess problem solving skills
- Must be able to multitask effectively, adapt to changing priorities and work well under pressure
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $19.00 - $22.00 per hour
