We are searching for a highly experienced Operations Manager to join our team. As the Distribution Center Operations Manager, you will play a pivotal role in the success of our company by managing and optimizing our warehouse operations and coordinating our retail and distribution activities. You will be responsible for driving operational excellence, enhancing productivity, and ensuring the highest levels of customer satisfaction. This position will require strong leadership, strategic thinking, and effective management skills.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement operational strategies, policies, and procedures to streamline warehouse operations and optimize distribution processes.
- Oversee the overall management of the large warehouse setting, including inventory management, order processing, RMA, shipping, last mile delivery and receiving.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, finance, and customer service, to ensure efficient coordination and execution of distribution activities.
- Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify areas for improvement and implement appropriate action plans.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency, reduce costs, and improve overall productivity.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, health and safety standards, and company policies.
- Recruit, train, and mentor a high-performing operations team, fostering a culture of accountability, teamwork, and professional growth.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations, provide feedback, and implement development plans for team members.
- Collaborate with senior management to develop and manage the operations budget, including forecasting and cost control measures.
- Stay updated with industry trends, market conditions, and technological advancements to identify opportunities for process optimization and innovation.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. (Or equivalent work experience)
- Proven experience (10 years) in a similar operations management role, preferably in a retail and distribution setting.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse management system, inventory control, and supply chain management. Netsuite or similar ERP system knowledge is desirable.
- Experience managing and negotiating contracts with last mile delivery providers and contractors.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and implement operational strategies that drive business growth and operational excellence.
- Excellent leadership and people management skills, with a track record of building and motivating high-performing teams.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to analyze complex data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office suite is a must.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization.
- Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Familiarity with home appliances or retail industry is desirable.
