Administrative Assistant


Chicago Department of Aviation

Security Division - I.D. Badging

Number of Positions: 5 (Five)

(Additional vacancies possible pending budget approval)

Starting Salary: $50,424.00


Under general supervision, the class performs administrative, clerical, and secretarial duties for the Security Division.

Essential Duties:

· Enter all relevant ID badge applicant information into Pro-Watch.

· Take fingerprints of ID badge applicants.

· Take photo of ID badge applicant.

· Screen ID badge application for required information and signatures.

· Serve as 'Proctor' for Advance Driver Testing.

· Serve as 'Proctor' for SIDA video training.

· Telephonically coordinate with CBP Agent regarding Hologram approval/removal.

· Confirm applicant's identity via two acceptable forms of ID.

· Print ID badge.

· Greet applicants and thank them for coming.

· Process ID badge applicants as a 'special group.

· Be available to work overtime as assigned by supervisor.


Additional duties may be required for this position.



CHICAGO DEPARTMENT OF AVIATION

Location: O'Hare International Airport

Division: Safety and Security Division

Days Off: Saturday and Sunday

Shift: Monday-Friday

Hours: 7:00 A.M. - 3:00 P.M., 8:00 A.M. - 4:00 P.M., 8:30 A.M. - 4:30 P.M.

(Shift May Varies due to Operation)

Qualifications


Minimum Qualifications: Two years of progressively responsible administrative or secretarial experience, or an equivalent combination of training and experience.

NOTE: A valid State of Illinois driver's license is required.

NOTE: The candidates selected for hire must pass an airport background check and a Security Threat Assessment.

Selection Requirements: This position requires bidders/applicants to successfully complete an interview which will include a universal assessment. The interviewed candidate(s) who possess the qualifications best suited to fulfill the responsibilities of the position will be selected.
