Job Summary
We are seeking a Sales Engineer to support our sales team in the Washington, DC and surrounding areas to delivering technical expertise, solution demonstrations, and pre-sales support to customers. The ideal candidate will have experience in video management systems (VMS), security technologies, and networking, with relevant certifications being a plus.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the technical expert in sales engagements, working closely with Account Executives to understand customer needs and recommend tailored solutions.
- Conduct product demonstrations, proof-of-concepts, and technical presentations for prospects and partners.
- Assist in RFP/RFI responses, ensuring technical accuracy and alignment with customer requirements.
- Design and architect solutions that integrate Airship AI’s VMS, AI, and security technologies into customer environments.
- Provide pre-sales and some post-sales support, including system configuration, integration guidance, and best practices.
- Develop technical documentation and sales enablement materials to support the sales process.
- Stay updated on industry trends, security standards, and networking best practices to provide informed recommendations.
- Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Support teams to ensure smooth deployments and customer satisfaction.
Qualifications & Experience
- 3 years of experience in a Sales Engineer, Solutions Architect, or Technical Pre-Sales role within video management, security, or networking industries.
- Strong knowledge of IP networking, security protocols, and system integrations. Networking certifications (CCNA, Network , etc.) are a plus.
- Experience with Video Management Systems (VMS), surveillance solutions, and AI-driven analytics is highly preferred.
- Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear business value for customers.
- Strong presentation, communication, and customer engagement skills.
- Experience working with enterprise and government clients is a plus.
- Willingness to travel (as needed) for customer meetings, demos, and events.
