Maintenance Manager
Job Description:
The Maintenance Manager is responsible for coordinating and managing Airstream’s maintenance department and activities.
Job Summary & Responsibilities:
- Lead all maintenance department activities to ensure all machines, equipment, vehicles and buildings are properly maintained.
- Minimize downtime through proper preventative and predictive maintenance of all machines.
- Ensure we have all the necessary spare parts, documentation and training needed to maintain our operation.
- Respond effectively to production and other departments to ensure they can do their jobs with minimal interruption.
- Manage the day-to-day activities of all maintenance department team members, with support from the Group Leader.
- Manage our CMMS to ensure proper documentation of all work orders, spare parts, tools, assets and schedules.
- Work to ensure all Airstream associates have a safe and effective working environment through proper maintenance, tools, supplies and equipment for the job.
- Manage maintenance projects such as new machine installs, upgrades and modifications.
- Work closely with and support the Manufacturing Engineering team and other departments on their projects and activities that require maintenance support
- Manage department purchases to ensure proper use of Airstream’s money, following Thor guidelines
• Track large projects and report out as needed • Manage the Tool and Supply ordering system to ensure those items are ordered, tracked and delivered correctly and on time
- Manage the time, priorities and activities of all department team members on all shifts.
- Ensure there is effective communication with the production team regarding repairs and downtime.
- Any other duties as they become needed or assigned to support Airstream operations.
Requirements:
- At least 5 years of maintenance or managerial experience.
- Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office and Outlook.
- Experience using a Computerized Maintenance Management System.
- Ability to work with people, including suppliers, vendors, and Airstream associates.
