Brazing/Soldering Technician | Greer, SC
Airsys a growing manufacturing plant in Greer, SC is now hiring for a Brazing Technician.
No nights! No Weekends! 7:30 am – 5:30 pm Monday – Thursday.
Brazing/Soldering Technician Responsibilities:
- Ability to read and follow engineering drawings, plans, diagrams, and work instructions.
- Cut, bend and braze copper and stainless steel assemblies based on the needs of the weekly production schedule.
- Plan brazing steps and place parts in specified relationship to each other.
- Work on a line where tasks vary from model to model.
- Adhere to manufacturing work instructions and quality requirements.
- Perform quality checks on brazed assemblies at certain points throughout the operation.
- Evacuate, charge, and leak-check systems.
- Work at different workstations as production requires.
Requirements:
- 1 year of brazing/soldering experience is required.
- Familiarity with brazing/soldering 1" and 3" copper and stainless steel piping is a plus.
- Thorough understanding of mechanics and other properties of machines.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and blueprints.
- Ability to follow proper safety protocols.
- Ability to determine whether machinery is working properly based on a job’s specific requirements.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent time management skills.
- Ability to work extended hours as needed.
