This Director, Corporate and Compliance Legal position presents a unique opportunity to be a part of our talented legal team! We are looking to add a superstar to be our dedicated corporate and compliance counsel, who will drive all corporate and securities matters, and ensure we have a robust and public-company-ready compliance program. This role will also offer the opportunity to hone and apply skills in other legal areas, including commercial, intellectual property, and legal operations.
What you'll do
- Manage corporate legal matters, including corporate governance, private and public financing, M&A, securities law compliance, and equity administration.
- Help lead public company readiness projects; prepare and manage all aspects of a potential public listing.
- Oversee board meeting processes and documentation.
- Provide support and advice relating to the Companys expanding international operations.
- Create and manage corporate subsidiaries.
- Ensure the Company remains compliant with all applicable corporate and securities laws and regulations, including potential future SEC requirements.
- Build and maintain a robust, public company-ready corporate compliance program.
- Drive the legal compliance roadmap, identifying compliance priorities, overseeing the Company Code of Conduct, project-managing new initiatives, and creating compliance-related tools.
- Nurture an internal culture of compliance that affirms that the Company follows the rules, keeps our employees safe, and respects the rights and values of our customers.
- Support internal investigations of potential compliance issues; create and deliver compliance policies and training.
- Build and maintain processes and infrastructure, such as playbooks, templates, metrics, and self-serve tools, to help scale the legal function.
- Assist with other legal matters, including commercial, intellectual property, and legal operations.

For work locations in the San Francisco Bay Area, New York City, and Los Angeles, the base salary range for this role is :
264,000 $373,900 USD
For all other work locations (including remote), the base salary range for this role is :
237,600 $336,500 USD
