We are looking for a pharmacy technician who is responsible for assisting with processing of prescription orders, labels, creation of compounding records, delivery tickets and the assembly of patient supplies and equipment under the direct supervision of a pharmacist. The pharmacy technician also assists with quality control, maintenance, and cleaning of the pharmacy work areas, as described in the Pharmacy Policy and Procedures Manual, and performance improvement activities as directed by the pharmacy manager.
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE :
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) equivalent is required.
- Registration as Pharmacy technician or Pharmacy technician trainee with Texas state Board of Pharmacy is required.
- Completion of pharmacy technician training and certified through Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) or National Pharmacy Technician Association, preferred, with certification to be completed within one year of employment.
- Laboratory or healthcare experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Previous experience with CPR or Caretend software is a plus along with home infusion experience, but not required.
