This position is responsible for accurately and efficiently performing the staging process. Duties include but are not limited to, printing all packing lists and labels, setting up staging area to process shipments, assembling and labeling tubes, and placing final compounded medication with the appropriate package. The pharmacy technician also assists with verifying compounding pharmacists in a cleanroom environment, quality control, maintenance and cleaning of the pharmacy work areas, as described in the Pharmacy Policy and Procedures Manual, and performance improvement activities as directed by the pharmacy manager.
The schedule : 8 : 30a-7 : 00p, four days a week, with off day rotating one day forward each week. This shift also qualifies for a $3.00 / hour shift diff pay for 3 : 00p-7 : 00p.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE :
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) equivalent is required
- Registration with the State Board of Pharmacy within 30 days of hire is required
- Completion of pharmacy technician training and certified through Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) or National Pharmacy Technician Association, preferred, with certification to be completed within twelve months of employment
- Laboratory or healthcare experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
