Summary of Responsibilities

Installation, termination and testing of Cat-6 low voltage voice/data, audio/visual, and security cable systems.
Maintenance of RTLS hardware and repair hardware problems as they arise. The position will ensure that an industry best practice process is employed to efficiently install systems and will be responsible for achieving excellence in customer service and satisfaction. Must be able to travel up to 50% nationally.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Perform installation and maintenance of structured cabling, troubleshoot, and commissioning of Low Voltage Systems to include Voice/Data, Audio/Visual, and Security.
  • Pull, route, install and terminate structured cabling infrastructure in a commercial environment.
  • Install cable pathway systems (cable trays, cable racks, J-hooks or D-rings)
  • Occasionally interface with clients and customers in a professional manner, adhering to AIS RealTime Hospital Etiquette
  • Organize and prioritize work and solve problems as they arise

o Able to take initiative and work with minimal supervision

o Respond with maturity to interpersonal team challenges, sensitivity to needs of team members

o Identify implementation issues at the customer site and communicate with Customer Service Engineer (CSE) or Customer Service Manager (CSM).

o Accurately record tasks, hours by day including KPI and metrics.

  • Perform post implementation activities

o 50 successful LBI swaps per day throughout hospital facilities with minimal re-work required.

o Follow project plan and direction from CSM

o Document and organizing customer job files

o Perform to installation manuals

  • Able to travel up to 50% nationally.
  • Use tools to set up system

o Use software and/or hand tools as required by the job

  • Other projects and responsibilities may be added at the company’s discretion

Essential Requirements and Qualifications:

Education:

Minimum: High School Diploma

Training Requirements-Licenses, Programs, Certificates

On the job training

Experience:

  • OS: Windows 10
  • Advanced User of Software Packages: MS Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook)

Other Information:

  • Must have a valid driver’s license with a good driving record
  • Must be able to pass drug screen and background check
  • Ability to work in a healthcare setting and obtain the necessary vaccinations required by the hospital. (i.e. Hepatitis B)
  • Ability to lift, move, and transport 50 lbs. of equipment
  • Ability to walk up to 4 miles daily, throughout customer site, including climbing into construction areas, basements, attics, storage areas, morgues
  • Ability to kneel, stoop, crouch, bend, and reach is essential for physically affixing RFID tags on various customer assets
  • Ability to verbally communicate with the customer in a timely fashion for reacting quickly to hospital or health emergencies, as well as for explaining to patients and hospital staff what you are doing or what you need to work on
  • Ability to individually navigate a customer site / hospital
  • Ability to bend, crouch and reach and climb ladders as needed when visiting customer sites (may also be required to use tools while on a ladder).
  • Ability to efficiently communicate with Team Members, Partners and Customers

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $36,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
