JOB PURPOSE:
Provides leadership and technical guidance to the team in order to produce and deliver quality products, seek continuous improvement, and achieve established goals and targets for safety, quality, productivity, delivery and customer satisfaction.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Provides leadership and technical guidance to subordinates by prioritizing and assigning tasks, establishing procedures, providing instructions, and advising personnel on how to perform various tasks.
2. Evaluates and reviews jobs with subordinates upon completion of assigned tasks to ensure that team members continually strive to meet Department goals.
3. May perform daily assessments of the work area to help ensure safety, quality, productivity, etc.
4. Assists members of lower and upper management in the evaluation and investigation of various types of issues which result from daily activity, such as quality issues, safety issues, delivery issues etc., and may assist in performing troubleshooting activities and developing countermeasures.
5. Attends meetings and prepares reports as necessary and promotes improvement plans and ideas for improvement.
6. Provides leadership and guidance to maintain good 5S of the workplace and ensures appropriate safety conditions are maintained.
7. Trains and mentors’ other associates on Company policies and procedures and necessary warehouse/logistics skills.
8. Coordinates and participates in annual and on-going projects.
9. Perform Human Resources activities including tracking time and attendance, counseling, scheduling, etc.
10. Maintains an appropriate level of conventionality and conformance in regard to the corporate culture as expressed in the Associate Handbook. Relates well with others, including as appropriate, peers, supervisors, subordinates, customers and suppliers. Maintains good attendance and assumes appropriate roles(s) when working in a team environment. Responds appropriately to unexpected and/or continuing situations which develop in the work environment.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- May be assigned as a TS16949 auditor and may be required to participate in TS16949 internal and external audits.
- May be involved in Departmental budget activities.
- May assume responsibilities of team members in their absence.
- Maintains appropriate expertise to ensure an effective technical level by utilizing all resources available.
- Resolves associate issues.
- Interviews candidates and recommends potential new hires.
- Fulfills administrative and other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: (Skills, Abilities, Training/Education, and Experience)
- Knowledge of Warehouse/Logistics policies, procedures, and terms
- Strong leadership skills
- Excellent written and oral communication skills and good presentation skills
- Ability to use appropriate software applications.
- Ability to coordinate and monitor a high level of activity as demonstrated under a variety of conditions and restraints.
- Ability to comprehend complex instructions and respond effectively and perform basic arithmetic accurately and quickly.
- Associate’s degree or equivalent experience, 2 years warehouse experience, 2 years supervisory experience.
- Offsite locations will require the ability and knowledge to perform the functions of a first responder for safety purposes. (training will be provided by the company)
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Frequent sitting, standing, walking, climbing, lifting, pulling and/or pushing, stooping and crouching.
- Ability to rapidly coordinate eyes, hands, and fingers and accurately handle precise movements.
- Ability to coordinate the eyes and both hands and feet in response to visual stimuli.
- Ability to work in a variety of adverse environmental conditions, such as heat, cold, noise, etc.

Pay: From $53,350.00 per year
