SUMMARY:
This position will support the Human Resources Assistant Manager in the completion of various Human Resource and General Administration duties required to meet the goals of the department.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for New Hire Orientation Training.
- Assist in the development and implementation of objectives, policies, and procedures for the HR Dept.
- Assist in Human Resource functions including recruiting and hiring activities including internal transfer activities and overtime.
- Assist department managers with managing manpower budgets
- Evaluate resumes and coordinate/conduct interviews.
- Maintain temporary employee requests and track temporary employees' status.
- Maintain regulatory compliance & administer leaves of absence, promotions, etc.
- Responsible for administering Service Awards and Recognition Award programs.
- Maintain regulatory compliance
- Assist with FMLA compliance activities, requests, and tracking.
- Responsible for employee file maintenance
- Assist with Employee Relation activities including resolutions of complaints and union free status.
- Coordinate required annual compliance training for all staff & hourly members.
- Assist members with benefit enrollments including new hire and annual enrollment events
- Work to ensure the high morale and retention of Team Members
- Assist with regular communication meetings.
- Assist with the organization and planning of company recreation events and employee engagement activities.
- Ensure compliance with all employment laws.
- Coach supervisors and/or managers on corrective action/disciplinary procedures
- Perform all duties in conformance to appropriate safety and security standards.
- Will perform all other reasonably related tasks within the Company as required by Management.
PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
- 3-5 years of human resource experience
- B.S. in Human Resources or related field
- STRONG proficiency in MS Excel, Outlook, Word
- Complete knowledge of state and federal employment laws.
- Capable of educating and training Members in Company policies, procedures, and practices
- Comprehension skills necessary to interpret HR laws, regulations, policies, and procedures
- Ability to adapt to changing situations, to solve problems, and prioritize workloads.
- Broad understanding of all aspects of Human Resources
