As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for the inspection and measurement of automatic transmission parts to ensure they meet specifications. Your role will involve reading and interpreting part dimensional features from engineering drawings to render judgments. To succeed in this role, you must have a strong understanding of metrology and gauge calibration principles.
Your Key Responsibilities:
- Inspect and measure automatic transmission parts to ensure they meet specifications.
- Read and interpret part dimensional features from engineering drawings to render judgments.
- Ensure the flow of quality-assured parts to support high-volume production.
- Collaborate with other employees to address problems and develop solutions.
Requirements:
- Strong knowledge of metrology and gauge calibration principles.
- High degree of mathematical aptitude and familiarity with the Metric System.
- Experience in fast-paced automotive manufacturing is preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work in a cross-cultural environment and extended hours if necessary.
Work Environment:
A clean, climate-controlled environment with occasional exposure to dust, noise, oils, greases, grinding debris, compressed air, metal shavings, solvents, and less-occasional exposure to acids.
