What are the responsibilities and job description for the Production Control Specialist position at Aisin Corporation?

The Production Control Specialist is responsible for the Production planning and Production status management activities at Aisin Texas Corporation.

Main Duties / Responsibilities

Execution of the production planning and final product inventory activities.
Execution of Parts and Materials arrangement planning and parts inventory plans.
Execution of Procurement-Campus Delivery logistic planning.
Promoting new project preparation activities.
Able to create strategies that effectively utilize lean business resources and achieve company objectives.
Able to communicate and present these strategies to leaders inside and outside the company.
Able to develop and maintain good project management plans.
Able to report progress on a timely manner and determine next steps action plans.
Ability to develop individual gap analysis to help HR create development plans.

Required Qualification / Education

Bachelor's Degree desirable.

3 years or more experience in Production Planning / Management, Sales or Procurement.

Able to travel to other Aisin locations for extended business and training (up to 1 month).

Must be able to work overtime, weekends and holidays as directed.

Experience in a cross-cultural working environment.

Experience in Japanese companies.

Experience in an International / Foreign global company.

Familiar with Automotive standards / tools (ISO / IATF, Control Plan and APQP).

Familiar with problem solving, waste / loss prevention methods and setup time improvement (e.g. SMED).

Familiar with customs clearance.

Desired Skills / Characteristics

Good level of knowledge in lean production concepts such as OEE, KANBAN, FIFO, BOM.

Experienced in operation Time Study.

Must be capable of flexibly responding to any changes in the company's direction.

Effective oral and written communications skills.
