Job Title: Logistics HAN-CHOs (Receiving)

FLSA Status: Hourly Non-Exempt

Division: Logistics

EEOC Classification: Operative (Semiskilled)

Reports To: Logistics SHOKU-CHO

Approved By: General Administration
Date: 1/1/2019

SUMMARY

This position will assist the department SHOKU-CHO in the day to day running of the Logistics Section of Receiving.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Belongs to an hourly, "non-exempt" category.
  • Check and prepare T/M daily work (Standardize work).
  • Train new members.
  • Responsible for ensuring his/her workers are following the standardized work at all times.
  • Responsible for giving on-the-spot correctional instruction when anyone is found not following standardized work methods.
  • Responsible for Quality Cost Delivery in his/her overall area of responsibility.
  • Responsible for promptly reporting any "abnormality" that occurs in his/her area of responsibility to his/her SHOKU-CHO.
  • Check safety point all areas and 5S status.
  • Fill in for team member (vacation, restroom, etc.).
  • Control inventory of CKD parts. Issue additional Kanbans as needed.
  • Perform Proper repack for Finished Goods to insure safe transport to the MLC.
  • Part Supply to ECU room through use of AGV method or Push Cart method
  • Keep training documents, FIFO, and parts/finished goods labels up to date.
  • Implement abnormal occurrence plan if necessary.
  • Motivation of team member.
  • Assisting the problem solving activities of the Shipping and Receiving area.
  • Analyzing and continuously improving overall logistic efficiency.
  • Analyzing processes for continuous improvement.
  • Perform all duties in conformance to appropriate safety and security standards.
  • Responsible for correct product counts and shipments in a timely manner.
  • Use of all Logistics equipment - Forklift, Stacker, Pallet Jack electric & non electric, pallet wrapper, scanners, banders.
  • Inventory counts.
  • Will perform other reasonably related tasks within the Company as required by the SHOKU-CHO or Management.

  • SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

    Will assist the SHOKU-CHO in the daily supervision of Team Members


    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
  • Must be able to work as part of a team.
  • Must be responsible and have good attendance.
  • Must be familiar with AEIL shipping procedures and quality policy.
  • Ability to work shifts, long hours, overtime, on-call, and weekends.
  • Must be able to lift 34 pounds repeatedly during scheduled shift
  • Ability to lead, motivate and supervise others.
  • Ability to interact well with coworkers.
  • Ability to understand, follow and implement posted work rules and company procedures.

  • QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
  • Must have worked at AEIL in the position of Team Member for a minimum of 90 days.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Previous lead or supervisory experience desired.
  • Meets minimum score on Promotion Matrix.
  • Must be able to obtain & maintain AEIL Forklift certification

  • ORGANIZATIONAL (AND OUTSIDE) RELATIONSHIPS
  • Logistics Department Team Members and Team Members in other AEIL Departments.


  • WORK ENVIRONMENT
  • Some dust, noise, oils, greases, grinding debris, compressed air, metal shavings, propane, solvents and occasional heavy lifting.
  • Exposed to hazardous machinery and/or conditions that could result in injury up to and including a fatality if safety measures are not followed and adhered to.
  • Exposed to shop elements such as noise, dust, odors, fumes, oils. The performance of this position normally requires exposure to a typical manufacturing areas were under certain conditions that require the use of personal protective equipment such as safety shoes and safety glasses.
