Job Summary
The Trainer is responsible for developing and delivering various training programs for the manufacturing groups, the new hires, and for the entire organization for some programs. The Trainer will also evaluate the effectiveness of courses and materials with a focus on continuous training improvement in order to meet desired outcomes.
Position Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver training on manufacturing operational procedures, safety requirements, and quality processes
- Maintain knowledge in the functional areas including but not limited to: tool changes, offsets, equipment checks, PAS function and accuracy, safety stock creation, common equipment troubleshooting, and Lock Out Tag Out etc.
- Train on manufacturing theories and processes including but not limited to availability calculations, working drawing explanation, GD&T, ANC machine types (LA, BO, WE, etc), and work instruction creation and implementation
- Assess training needs and develop changes to the training program to meet those needs
- Conduct on the job training with team members line side and in a newly created Dojo environment
- Prepare and deliver training materials, job aids, presentations, etc. in multiple media forums
- Conduct post-training evaluations and audits to identify successes and improvement opportunities.
- Provide on-boarding training for new hires (ATM) to condition them for the floor jobs and evaluate their preparedness and fits to the ANC.
- Provide company-wide mandate training programs to the entire organization from Executive members through Team Members. •Other duties as required. •Must be able to rotate shifts on a monthly basis
Qualifications/Requirements
- A minimum of High school diploma and 6 years of experience in a manufacturing/quality related role is required; An Associates diploma and 4 years of experience OR a Bachelors Degree and 2 years of experience are preferred
- Knowledge of ANC's policies, processes, procedures is required
- 2 years of experience conducting training in a production environment is preferred
- Demonstrated ability to create and teach manufacturing processes, theories, and procedures
- Proven track record of safety incident of a team supervised
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Good record of team building skills (typically shown in the team's attendance and turnover history)
