Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced Data Analyst to deliver data-driven insights within the healthcare payer space. The role involves analyzing complex datasets, identifying trends, and supporting strategic decision-making for healthcare payer clients. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of healthcare payer systems, claims data, and regulatory compliance, including HIPAA.
Key Responsibilities:
- Data Analytics & Insights (40%)
- Analyze payer-related datasets (claims, membership, provider data).
- Develop dashboards, reports, and visualizations using tools like Tableau or Power BI.
- Identify trends and apply statistical models for actionable insights.
- Data Governance & Compliance (20%)
- Ensure data quality, integrity, and HIPAA compliance.
- Collaborate with teams to optimize data pipelines and accessibility.
- Operational Efficiency (20%)
- Support machine learning and advanced analytics initiatives.
- Streamline data management and reporting processes.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities through data-driven decisions.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration (10%)
- Present findings to executive leadership and clients.
- Partner with sales, clinical, product, and engineering teams.
- Stay updated on healthcare data analytics trends.
Education: Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Healthcare Informatics, or related field (advanced degree preferred).
Experience:
- 8 years in data analysis, handling large datasets.
- 3 years working with healthcare payers (claims processing, risk adjustment, provider network analytics).
Skills:
- Proficiency in SQL, Python, R, or similar.
- Experience with Tableau, Power BI, or Looker.
- Strong knowledge of healthcare payer data sources (EHR, claims databases).
- Familiarity with HIPAA and regulatory frameworks.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform) is a plus.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
