Summary:
The role of the pipeFitter consists of applying standard practices and procedures for the pneumatic and hydraulic assembly of automated assembly and welding systems used in the aerospace industry from onset to installation at the customer facility.

Summary:

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Cut, thread, or hammer pipes to specifications, using tools such as saws, cutting torches, pipe threaders, or pipe benders.
- Lay out full scale drawings of pipe systems, supports, or related equipment, according to blueprints.
- Plan pipe system layout, installation, or repair, according to specifications.
- Ensure all requirements as specified by the manufacturer of systems and fixtures are met.
- Inspect, examine, or test installed systems or pipelines, using pressure gauge, hydrostatic testing, observation, or other methods.
- Sets working pressures, valve sequencing, hydraulic pressures, etc. Familiar with component functions (hydraulic and pneumatic valves, check valves, ball valves, FRL's, etc.)
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- High School degree or GED preferred.
- Apprenticeship or technical school preferred.
- Minimum of one year of experience in an equivalent position.
- This position may require a government security clearance.
