Job Description: Computer Analyst / Field Technician

Primary Work Location: Army Training Center, Fort Jackson, SC

Position Overview
This is a unique opportunity to work in a DoD environment and develop multiple areas of expertise. The right candidate will work with Cisco switches, Windows servers & workstations and physical security / access control systems.
Responsibilities / Duties
- Windows Server Administration Windows Desktop Support
- Galaxy Separate & Secure Security Software Support
- Troubleshooting Physical Security, Access Control and Intrusion Detection Systems Fixing or Replacing Door & Window Sensors
- Troubleshooting Security System Wiring Resetting User Passwords
- Managing Service Orders / Tickets
- Performing Preventive Maintenance on hardware/software Installing Windows and Application Patches and Updates
- "Handyman" Skills to troubleshoot commercial doors/locks/hinges, etc. as it relates to security systems, alarms, sensors, etc.
- Support 24x7x365 operation
- Work multiple / rotating shifts or be on call for afterhours support.
- Work well with other team members, support Information Assurance (IA) engineers and auditors to perform required IT Security related tasks.
- Attend a weeklong course on Galaxy Software
Minimum Requirements
- IAT Level II Certified Security Certified
- Prefer Microsoft Technical Certifications such as MCITP Prefer Galaxy Software or equivalent training.
- Minimum 1year experience supporting Security/Access Control Systems 3-4 Years of experience supporting/administering MS Windows O/S
- U.S. Citizen with Secret clearance (active)
Preferred Skills/Knowledge
- Prefer Cisco CCNA or CCNA Security
- Bachelor's degree in IT or Computer Science
Physical Demands
- Lifting / Carrying Parts, PCs, Servers, Etc.
- Working under desks, wiring closets, etc. Walking from building to building and climbing stairs Potentially removing / replacing doors
