Position: Assistant Manager
Location: Waikiki, Hawaii
We are seeking a dedicated and dynamic individual to join our team as an Assistant Manager at a renowned apparel and fashion brand in Waikiki, Hawaii. In this role, you will act as the "right hand" to the Sales Manager, ensuring the seamless operation of the department in the absence of the Store Manager, while leading and motivating the team by setting an excellent example.
Job ResponsibilitiesOperational Duties:
- Open and close the department as a key holder.
- Manage cash drawer and calculate deposits.
- Oversee register maintenance and report Springboard issues to IT as needed.
- Maintain the sales floor and assist with merchandise restocking.
- Update and arrange mannequins as necessary.
- Support merchandising tasks as instructed by the buyer or general manager.
- Address customer issues and complaints during the general manager’s absence.
- Resolve minor employee issues and escalate major concerns to management or HR.
Sales Responsibilities:
- Drive Sales:
- Lead by example with outstanding sales techniques.
- Build strong relationships with customers, maintain a client book, and grow the customer base.
- Motivate and support Sales Stylists, providing updates on individual sales goals and progress.
- Product Knowledge:
- Develop a strong understanding and passion for the designers and collections within the department.
- Loss Prevention:
- Monitor customers and merchandise actively to minimize loss.
- Plan and conduct semi-annual inventory counts.
Qualifications:
- Prior experience in sales, retail, or leadership roles preferred.
- Strong team player with excellent communication skills.
- Ability to build strong relationships with customers and team members.
- Japanese and English Bilingual Speaker
Position Details:

- Compensation: DOE (Determined based on experience)
