The Product Category Staff is responsible for providing daily administrative support to the Product Management Department (PMD) and tracking all products coming into the company. They are also responsible for working with PMD team members and branch offices to support the department and meet sales goals.
- Ensure that each customer, client, and vendor receives excellent customer service by providing a friendly environment that includes greeting and assisting all customers, maintaining exceptional product knowledge, and all other elements of customer service.
- Responsible for the coordination, transfer, and proper translation of all technical documentation necessary to support our product lines between branches worldwide.
- Maintain document control by storing, verifying, obtaining and maintaining specifications and manufacturing process charts from manufacturers.
- Monitor and maintain vendor account management including but not limited to product expense billing, invoicing, and payment verification.
- Obtain specification sheets for each product from the vendor and verify for any omissions or errors in content.
- Obtain warranty documentation for each product from the vendor, review for omissions or errors, and submit to the customer via the Sales Department.
- Prepare sales performance data and report to the specific vendor.
- Retrieve data from business intelligence (BI) databases.
- Perform other related duties as required.
- High School Degree / GED
- Knowledge of all office operations.
- Keyboarding skills with error-free data entry at moderate speed.
- Effective internal and external communication skills via telephone, email, and in person.
- Keyboarding and word processing, spreadsheets, and database management.
- Skills in the use of computer software packages.
- Ability to use the telephone in a professional and courteous manner.
- Assemble, sort, and/or distribute documents, supplies, and/or materials/items.
- Follow written and/or verbal instructions. Speak clearly, concisely, and effectively.
- Addresses people in a manner that demonstrates sensitivity, tact, and professionalism.
- Must be able to use Oracle ERP system.
