We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Outpatient Nurse with strong clinical and administrative expertise to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in patient care, medical terminology, and documentation practices. As a Nurse, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality care to patients, ensuring their comfort and well-being while following all medical protocols and regulations. A minimum of 12 months of experience in interventional pain management is preferred. Previous administrative and managerial experience is also preferred.
Duties
- Provide direct patient care, including administering medications, monitoring vital signs, and assisting with daily living activities.
- Expertise in starting IV's, assisting with conscious sedation as needed.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation and records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients.
- Conduct assessments to evaluate patients' conditions and report any changes to the appropriate medical staff.
- Ensure a safe and clean environment for patients by following infection control protocols.
- Stay current with medical knowledge by participating in ongoing training and professional development.
- Oversee all clinical staff including medical assistance.
- Assist in clinical team development and perform staff evaluations.
- Learn and improve upon clinical protocols for best practices in patient care.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology.
- Proven experience in patient care settings with an understanding of medical documentation practices.
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality and data protection.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- A valid nursing license is required; additional certifications may be preferred or required based on the specific healthcare setting.
