Painter/Prep 1st shift Monday-Thursday

What we do: AJ Manufacturing builds the highest quality doors and vinyl windows for the residential, commercial, and agriculture sectors. Plus, we are also the leading manufacturer of HVAC access doors and panels.

Position Summary: Employee is responsible to prep and paint post frame doors, vinyl windows and Access doors per customer requirements.

Work Schedule: Monday - Thursday 6am-4:30pm

Job Duties:

· Ability to read and understand work orders, written procedures, and instructions

· Identify all components of trim kits

· Determine priority based of paint schedule

· Follow safety rules and wear required PPE

· Visually inspect doors, windows and trim for any damage prior to painting and paint application post painting

· Prep by sanding and taping

· Mix paint/primer per directions

· Spray doors, windows and trim per process

· Properly store or dispose of paints and solvents

· Perform all required cleaning/maintenance on paint booth and spray guns

· Maintain accurate paint and supplies inventory

· Maintain a clean and safe work area

Physical Demands:

· While performing the job, the employee is required to stand for long periods of time

· The employee is frequently required to reach with hands, arms lift, carry, and stack material, and to bend at waist

· Employee must be able to use an orbital sander, and variety of paint guns

· Ability to flip door at waist to shoulder height

· Frequently, employees must be able to lift and carry up to 55 lbs. (110 lbs. two-person lift) for 50 feet

**Must be able to pass OSHA required testing for hood style respirator
