What are the responsibilities and job description for the 1st shift Maintenance Repair (heavy welding experience required) position at AJ Rose Manufacturing Company?
A.J. Rose Manufacturing has an immediate opening for a Maintenance Repair Technician who has welding experience including, but not limited to, MIG, RIG, stick, brake, roller, and plasma cutter, as well as the below experience.
Scope of job: Follows standard procedures and operating manuals to effect repair, maintenance, and diagnosis of mechanical problems in capital equipment and facilities.
Reports to: Maintenance Supervisor
Formal Education: High school or GED
Pay Range: $25.01-$26.39
Hours: 5am-3:30pm M-F, plus some Saturday OT.
Responsibilities:
- Inspects equipment, tools and machinery for safety issues
- Requisitions parts and services
- Uses test equipment to troubleshoot and diagnose failures
- Dismantles defective machines and equipment and installs new or repaired parts, following specifications and blueprints, using precision measuring instruments and hand tools
- Troubleshoots and repairs mechanical failures: presses, equipment, plumbing, all vehicles (except expensive engine overhauls)
- Repairs tow motor, trucks, cranes, hoists
- Lays out and assembles new machines and equipment
- Carries tools and equipment to and from storage and working area
- Cleans machines with sandpaper, solvent and wiping rags to prepare surfaces for painting
- Cleans and lubricates shafts, bearings, gears and other parts of machinery using rags, brushes and grease gun
- Building Maintenance (toilets, light bulbs, sinks, ceiling tiles, some groundwork, etc.)
- Assist in training employees
- Effectively communicate with supervisor and co-workers on either shift
Required Skills and Experience:
- Some hydraulic and pneumatic experience
- Conveyor repair (replace belts/drive belts, bearings, and tracking belts)
- Ability to work in confined spaces
- Experience in lock out tag out
- Welding and fabricating Ex: MIG, TIG, Stick, brake, roller, and/or plasma cutter
- Experience using hand tools
- Boom and scissor lift experience
- Ability to perform daily lube route
- Experience with micrometers, calipers, and other measuring equipment
- Bridgeport and lathe experience
Physical Requirements:
- Able to work at heights from 30 to 200 feet on ladders and platforms
- Extensive walking, standing, stooping and bending
- Lifting: heavy (50 lbs. without assistance); arm and back extension
- High level of manual dexterity
