What are the responsibilities and job description for the 1st shift Maintenance Tech position at AJ Rose Manufacturing Company?
80 hours of vacation provided in the first 150 days of employment!
Hours:7:00am-3:30pm with some OT.
The ideal candidate will be a multi-craft maintenance technician, skilled in electrical and mechanical processes.
Basic Objective
Provides general maintenance and electrical repair support to production operations on the evening shift to maintain operating efficiency.

Skills & Knowledge
- Able to analyze and determine root cause in fault-finding problems
- Troubleshooting and assessment skills to work independently
- Electrical knowledge equivalent to an electrical technician/ installer
- Able to read Schematics and basic ladder logic
- Full knowledge of circuitry (240, 400 3ph), testing and equipment
- Facilities electrical systems including HVAC Systems
- Troubleshooting knowledge in DC/AC motors
- Experience with encoders and transducers
- Low voltage trouble shooting
- VFD experience and trouble shooting
- Mechanical knowledge equivalent to a journeyman certification.
Duties
- Use ammeters, multimeters, and other equipment to test connections, trace circuits and ensure the compatibility and safety of components.
- Maintain wiring, fuses, contactors, relays and other components for manufacturing equipment
- Replace items such as circuit breakers, fuses, switches, relays, electrical and electronic components and wire
- Use hand tools such as conduit benders, screwdrivers, pliers, knives, hacksaws, and wire strippers, as well as power tools such as drills, saws and knockout equipment.
- Periodically inspect all equipment to ensure it is operating properly and to correct problems before breakdowns occur.
- Respond to facility emergencies and equipment breakdowns
- Troubleshoot equipment failures using electrical and mechanical knowledge
- Consult with Electronic Techs and Electrical Engineers as needed
- Perform lock-out on equipment as needed
- Analyze PLC programs using a PC
- Any other maintenance duties as assigned
- Assist in training junior employees
Experience
6-10 years’ experience in heavy manufacturing or Journeyman certified
