Position Summary:
Ajax/CECO/Erie Press is seeking a Deburr/Helper to support our manufacturing operations by ensuring parts meet cosmetic, fit, and functional specifications. In this hands-on role, you will use various hand and power tools to finish parts according to technical drawings, assist machine operators with setups, transport materials, and perform general maintenance tasks.
Job Duties
- Review drawings for special instructions regarding deburring and surface finish requirements.
- Remove metal chips, dirt, and foreign materials from part surfaces and holes.
- Clean and inspect holes and threads, using measuring gauges to ensure compliance.
- Polish surfaces to achieve specified finishes without compromising integrity.
- Paint parts as necessary.
- Drill and tap holes as needed, maintaining close tolerances.
- Communicate any quality or appearance issues to supervisors.
- Safely transport materials using forklifts and overhead cranes.
- Assist in daily mail deliveries to/from the post office using a company vehicle.
What you need to be successful:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid Driver’s License
Preferred Qualifications:
- 1 years of experience with drilling/tapping
- 1 years of experience in machine operation
- 1 years of experience operating a forklift
- 1 years of experience with overhead crane
