Ajax Cubs provides high-quality early childhood care and education for children ages 8 weeks to 5 years old. Our program includes two pre-school classrooms, a toddler room (Lions Den), and an infant room (Panda Den). Ideally located in Aspen, CO, we embrace our natural surroundings to create a unique, enriching experience for our students.

As a newly established organization, Ajax Cubs is looking for dedicated early childhood educators who are excited about shaping a program that will have a meaningful and lasting impact on our community.

About the Role:

We are seeking patient, attentive, and caring professionals to join our Lions Den Toddler Room, working with children ages 18 to 36 months.

(Responsibilities) Job Duties

• Providing care for children, such as setting schedules and routines, grooming, feeding, diapering, and cleaning rooms and toys.
• Developing and encouraging age-appropriate learning and socialization to ensure children meet their milestones
• Maintaining a safe workplace by monitoring children for health, behavioral, and emotional issues and reporting concerns to staff and parents.
• Keeping relevant records for child care regulators. Competencies

Required Education & Experience

• Is eligible to be an assistant in the toddler Room, in accordance with the state of Colorado requirements

Qualifications

• Early childhood education or related field
• Classroom management skills
• Experience working with toddlers or preschool-aged children
• Strong communication skills to interact effectively with children and parents
• Ability to create engaging lesson plans and activities for young learners
• Familiarity with childcare best practices and early childhood development principles

Pay: $24.00 - $35.00 per hour
