About the Position
This Quality Control (QC) Field Technician role requires a highly organized and detail-focused individual to perform quality control testing on projects as per project specifications. The selected candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all testing and documentation meet the required standards.

The QC Field Technician will report directly to and be accountable to the QC Manager. Key qualifications include:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2 years of experience in FDOT project work preferred
- CTQP - Asphalt Paving Levels 1 and 2 certifications (Ajax can assist with obtaining)
Suitable candidates will also possess:
- Excellent teamwork and leadership skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Basic mathematical skills and understanding of technical terminology
This position involves working in various settings, including construction sites, manufacturing facilities, and laboratories. Work schedules may vary, including day and night shifts.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Conduct quality control testing and document results according to project specifications
- Prepare detailed reports for the QC Manager in a timely manner
- Collaborate with the QC Manager to address operational issues and implement solutions
- Ensure efficient use of time and resources during shifts
- Work independently with minimal supervision
