PCB Designer
Education and/or Experience:
B.S.(preferred) or A.A.S. in Electrical Engineering Technology or equivalent related STEM field with IPC Designer Certification (CID, CID ) .
Applicants with a minimum of 5 years direct experience as a PCB Designer for an engineering firm may be considered in lieu of education requirements.
Skill Sets:
Proficient in the theory and application of the following PCB Design principals:
PCB Design – Analog and Digital Circuits, Microprocessor, FPGA, DSP, Embedded System Design
Through Hole and Surface Mount technology.
PCB Design Software – Orcad, Altium or similar
Equipment – DMM, Oscilloscope, Function Generator, EMC Testing Equipment
Computer – Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.
Autodesk – Autodesk Vault, Inventor, Autocad, etc.
Language Skills: Must be able to converse in English in both written and vocal format. Other languages a plus.
Job Description:
Develop new products that are innovative and cost effective. Must work within an approved budget and time frame to develop a new product. Must be a team player. All work is required to be documented and organized. The PCB Designer will work with the Development Engineer’s in the R&D department to design and layout custom PCBs for use by the OEM. The PCB Designer will work with the purchasing department and PCB manufacturing vendors to verify quantity and pricing of the PCB’s. On occasion, the PCB designer may be asked to work to draft power electronics and control schematics under the supervision of the Development Engineer.
The PCB designer applicants must show proficiency in PCB design with examples of previous work. The PCB designer will report to the R&D Manager.
Physical Demands:
Must be capable of lifting parts up to 50 pounds and able to work at a desk for extended periods of time.

Accountability of activities where errors in judgment, decisions, and recommendations would be serious, difficult to detect and continuing, and would adversely affect outside relationships or internal operations.

Decisions are required, must analyze facts, and determine action using a wide range of procedures.
