Position Summary
Prep vegetables for rice processing.
Position Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Retrieve product/components and bring to workstation.
- Receives all components according to production schedule(s)
- Informs Lead Person of shortage or overage on product.
- Opens ingredients for supply to hopper.
- Shovel ingredients for supply to hopper
- Completes all required paperwork for work are
- Labels products appropriately.
- Ensures work is done to production standards
- Must be able to follow the plant’s FIFO (first in, first out) program to ensure that all ingredients are used in the proper order.
- Performs work safely and in compliance with all government regulations
- Other duties as assigned
- Follow all safety procedures
Employee Safety Responsibilities:
- Report all injuries, unsafe conditions, unsafe acts and horseplay
- Use proper lifting techniques
- Use mechanical assistance (handjack, forklift, manlift)
- Use personal assistance (buddy)
- Use handrails
- Use and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE)
Position Qualifications
- Prefer High School Diploma/GED
- Be able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in food manufacturing environment or equivalent type of manufacturing
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally and written
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work rapidly and with a high degree of accuracy
- Reliable
- Self-driven
- Minimal Supervision
- Forklift/Palletjack Certification
