Job Purpose
The Corporate Benefits Manager is responsible for assisting with the administration of all benefits and retirement programs, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short- and long-term disability, and 401(k) plan. They will oversee the benefit inquiries for all Al J. Schneider Company, ALJSCO Management, LLC employees.

The Corporate Benefits Manager is responsible for assisting with the administration of all benefits and retirement programs, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short- and long-term disability, and 401(k) plan. Work Requirements
- Ensures the accuracy of all benefits enrollments in the HRIS to provide vendors with accurate eligibility information.
- Assists with new-hire orientations for all properties.
- Performs quality checks of benefits-related data.
- Assists employees regarding benefits claim issues and plan changes.
- Distributes all benefits enrollment materials and determines eligibility.
- Enrolls employees with carriers and process life status changes.
- Responds to benefits inquiries from managers and employees on plan provisions, benefits enrollments, status changes and other general inquiries.
- Processes and administers all leave-of-absence requests and disability paperwork: medical, personal, disability and FMLA.
- Effectively interprets FMLA and ADA implications as they relate to leaves of absences/disabilities; provide/review documentation, track leaves and provide updates to each site.
- Responds to 401(k) inquiries from managers and employees relating to enrollments, plan changes and contribution amounts. Manages the annual catch-up contribution enrollment.
- Manages the open enrollment process.
- Provides necessary reports for allocation/billing charges.
- Review/audit monthly benefit invoices
- Process COBRA notices
- Complete monthly newly eligible for benefits report and notification
- Complete monthly eligible for 401k/company paid life insurance report and mailings
- Coordinate Health Fairs (all properties)
- Review ACA reporting
- Coordinate onsite meetings for external benefit vendors/business partners (i.e. Sam’s Club, Park Community, etc)
- Manage AJS Stands Together Relief funding
- Annual 1095c report and mailing
- Provide communications as needed to associates (i.e. 401k changes, new vendors, OE, etc.)
- Coordinate 2 annual 401k Committee meetings to review policies, procedures, funds, etc.
- Provide associates with benefits payment acknowledgements while on LOA (payments tracked to ensure benefits remain active while on leave)
- Processing QMCSO (Qualified Medical Child Support Orders)
- Other duties as assigned.
- Two years experience in HR and/or benefits administration.
- Extensive knowledge of employee benefits and applicable laws.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
