What are the responsibilities and job description for the Host / Hostess position at AJS Hotels?
The Galt House Hotel is currently hiring Host/ Hostess for our new restaurant, Swizzle. In addition, we are looking for a Host/Hostess for, Walker's Exchange Restaurant, located in the old Fountain Room Space adjacent to The Belvedere, overlooking the Ohio River, at The Galt House Hotel.
The primary role of the Host/Hostess is ensure the guest has a memorable experience by providing excellent customer service through solid organizational skills and exceptional people skills from the moment the guest arrives through the time of their departure.
Responsibilities
- Assigning and escorting guests to their table.
- Providing menus.
- Making reservations.
- Arranging parties.
- May at times act as the cashier.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- At least 2 years of previous experience as a host/hostess or concierge.
- Guest service and excellent communication skills required.
- Basic computer skills required.
- Must have a friendly and engaging personality, with a positive attitude and professional and well-groomed appearance.
